Abstract
Communication engineering with a growing demand in the technology is required to fulfill the need to make it easy for humans to communicate. All that must be supported by a system that is able to meet a variety of services and standards required. An SDR is capable of being re-programmed or reconfigured to operate with different waveforms and protocols through dynamic loading of new waveforms and protocols. In this final project the PSK and QAM modulation is simulated using GRC block in GNU Radio 3.5.0. Type of modulations which are simulated and analyzed are BPSK, QPSK, 8-PSK, 16-PSK, 64-PSK, 4-QAM, 16-QAM and 64-QAM. The results obtained from the simulation are the constellation diagram and the value of SER and BER with the variations of Eb/No value. The constellation diagram resulted from the simulations are appropriate with the literature both for modulation in transmission channel without noise and with AWGN noise. The value of SER and BER in this simulation is done using Eb/N0 10 dB. The simulation result shows that the higher number of M-ary of PSK and QAM modulation has higher value of SER and BER.. The simulation with variation value of Eb/N0 shows that the modulation with higher value of Eb/N0 produces the lower number of BER and SER.
