Abstract

In industrial sector, automation is one of the most important aspect to gain efficiency and effectivity on manufacturing process. The automation can be implemented by using controller on industrial machine, such as conveyor. By using the controller on the industrial device many errors from some factors like human error can be reduced. PLC Omron Sysmac CPM2A is one of the microcontroller that can be combined with the machine conveyor. The proximity sensor is used to get the information from the machine conveyor while the object is running or stop running. If the product is not detected by the sensors simultaneously then there will be a notice for that condition and this system can counting and stopping the product for a few moments automatically. By applying this system in the production system in the factory, it is expected to reduce the time wasted due to errors. The combination of Omron PLC Sysmac CPM2A with machine conveyor and proximity sensor will create systems in the factory which using conveyor machines become more effective and efficient, depends on where their needs.
