Abstract

This study intends to decide the impact of self-acceptance on stress levels in parents who have children with cerebral palsy at Mother’s Wing Foundation the South Tangerang (Disability Service Unit). The method used in this research is a quantitative approach (descriptive statistics) with an inspecting procedure of Non-Probability Sampling (immersed examining). The subjects were 47 parents of kids with cerebral palsy. This study utilizes the self-acceptance scale comprising 32 items (r = 0.892) and the stress scale comprising 38 items (r = 0.941).The analytical technique utilized is a simple linear regression analysis test. This research discovered that the value of sig. 0.624 > 0.005, the regression equation = 122.139 + (-0.127) X, meaning that there is no impact between self-acceptance and stress levels for parents who have kids with cerebral palsy at Mother's Wing Foundation the South Tangerang (Disability Service Unit). It can be interpreted that the higher a person's self-acceptance, the lower the level of stress they have. The contribution of self-acceptance is 0.5% while the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
