Abstract

This study is aiming to have a pattern description and empirical data on creative thinking process for children aged 5-6 years old in outbound activity at Sekolah Alam Bintaro Tangerang Selatan. This study used qualitative research method using the sampling of children of aged 5-6 years old at Sekolah Alam Bintaro Tangerang Selatan. Data collection method : observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysed through data reduction, data display and verification. Data triangulation and member check are used as method for data crosscheck. The findings of the results showed the acquisition creative thinking process for those children surveyed : 1) Children asked questions and explored the surrounding environment during data collection from a variety of perspective. 2) Children conversed with the peers to have some information exchange. 3) Children expressed and tested the ideas that came to heir minds. 4) Children identified their ideas if those are perfect or needs to be improved. Those variables depend on how the teachers expose the problems, guide and supervise children to explore and figure out the solution. The implications theoretically, creative thinking process is able to be performed at every school by giving situation and environment also activities that enables children to think for ideas and figure out the solution. Teacher’s support and children environment play a greater role in creating this condusive environment.
