Abstract
Many industrial processes on these day is using a simple and reliable control it is not only for the efficient productivity but also for making a simple tools for human itself, one of type the control these days is Programmable Logic Controller, these controller is used on every corner of industrial processes, automation in human life is now very useful, not only for the machine itself but also the needs for using the technology. As a student on one of university in Indonesia, the needs for automation system in the country is still on development, the requirement for an expert on this automation system is demanding. As an experiment these automation for mechatronics laboratory application will be used for controlling traffic light and also for controlling water level, it consist a ladder diagram for making the logic process and also design for simple way using a flow-chart type based or using state-diagram type based. Then the two system has the good result, the system was successful for the experiment mechatronics, which the traffic light control system can be done by using many varieties of programming in controlling four lights (one node), and the water level control was successful for understanding using the sensor as an input for programming system. This was done by each desire specification.
