Abstract
The increasing demand for fuel is the effect of the increasing number of population and economic growth in the community, whereas petroleum fuel sources dwindling current. Bioethanol is one solution to the problem is the depletion of the fuel as an alternative fuel. Step prototyping started from study literature, hardware and software design, and then testing prototype. Distillation is the process of separating two or more liquids based on boiling point. In this final project used PLC control system "Omron SYSMAC CPM2A" and uses the concept of closed loop. The purpose of prototyping distillation of making the cooling system more efficient, Effective temperature setting is at a temperature of 790C ? heater works, at a temperature of 800C ? heater does not work, the use of the timer to be automated prototyping, and getting increased levels of ethanol. The results of testing the prototype obtained 80% ethanol levels, of the initial substrate which has a 40% ethanol levels.
