Abstract

Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is designed to prepare students to face changes in social, cultural, industry and rapid technological advances. MBKM facilitates various learning activities outside. In the implementation of MBKM, it is necessary to modify the learning system. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize the MBKM program including policies and implementation system to students, so that the program can run optimally. This research aims to analyses the knowledge and interest of students in the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) towards the MBKM program launched by the government. This research was conducted using a population survey method, descriptive analysis on aspects of student knowledge (cognitive) and interest (affective). The results of the analysis show that most of the students already know about the MBKM program, but do not fully understand the whole policy. In addition, most students (above 80%) response that the MBKM program could have a good impact in improving the competence of graduates. This shows a high interest in joining this program. The most popular off-campus activities are Internships/Practice Work. Socialization needs to be intensified through appropriate media.
