Abstract
Underpricing is a phenomenon in which the offer price in the primary market is lower than the closing price on the secondary market. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of factors that affect the level of IPO underpricing in the IPO company on the Stock Exchange. This study uses six independent variables that underwriter reputation, the reputation of the auditor, firm age, persentse share, profitability (ROA), and financial leverage. Analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis to examine the relationship between underwriter reputation, the reputation of the auditor, firm age, persentse share, profitability (ROA), and financial leverage with IPO underpricing level. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling with a sample size of 82 companies were 81 IPOs on the Stock Exchange from 2009-2012. Test results Test-T and Test-F in this study proves that only the auditor`s reputation and financial leverage partially significant effect on the level of IPO underpricing on companies doing an IPO on the Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2012. While simultaneously all the independent variables significantly influence the level of underpricing
