Abstract
This research was conducted in Bilang-bilangan Island, Balikukup Archipelago, Berau, East Kalimantan between November 29, 2012 and February 7, 2013. The aim of this research was to observe successful hatching of green turtles (Chelonia mydas) in hatchery location (H). This places places was freely exposure to the sunlight and set up to be closely to natural nesting site (artificial nest). Those eggs being put underground in different density 40, 50, 60 eggs and control (natural egg density) in each nest with 3 replicate mode. The total eggs utilized this research was 762. Hatching success (%) range result is 56 - 100, which 85.85 of average. Incubation periode was 60 - 61 days. Hatching rate (%/day) range result is 0.92 - 1.67, which 1.42 of average. Analysis of varians result indicated that treatment effect was significantly different between incubation periode (P<0.05).
